Then each crystal polished on a wood wheel with marble dust. You may notice faint traces of the wood wheel-a mark of authenicity. Our crystal makers put aside their first -quality handcut crystal for us, and we select the best of the best from this choice inventory. In some cases we ourselves have trained artisans in the ancient craft of cutting and polishing crystal. The Legacy Collection This Crystal comes from the historic glass-making region around Venice. Strass Finest crystal in the world, Strass is manufactured by Swarovski AG in the Austrian Alps. It is machine-cut and polished to achieve perfect optical clarity, razor-sharp faceting and unique purity and brilliance. Lead content is in excess of 30 percent. An invisble coating makes Strass easier to clean. To protect buyers from imitations the Strass logo is engraved in miniture inside each crystal.
