In September 1981, Rick Nathans and his father, Harold, opened HomeLighting Center in the Morse Center on Morse Road. The original location featured 3,000 square feet of showroom and 500 square feet of warehouse space.
The Nathans built their business around lighting design solutions and displaying lighting fixtures for residential builders, interior designers and their clients. HomeLighting’s original retail showroom also provided hands-on shopping for consumers and the business became a staple in Central Ohio’s lighting industry.
In 1988, the Nathans relocated HomeLighting to its current location at 6055 Cleveland Avenue. Today’s HomeLighting, Central Ohio’s largest, boasts an 8,000 square foot showroom and 11,000 square feet of warehouse space.
